Tim Whitsel

603316_583210308361200_1653277069_nTim Whitsel grew up in northeastern Indiana. He has worked as a landscaper, commercial clam-digger, microfilm technician, furniture and appliance salesman, ESL teacher, repo-man, bill collector, equity trader, and stay-at-home dad.

Tim directed the Windfall Reading Series for six years. His poem Mudflat Allure won first place at the 2013 Northwest Poets’ Concord. Whitsel’s works often reflect his passions for gardening, jazz, western rivers, soccer, bicycling, and wine.


Tim’s new collection is entitled We Say Ourselves and published by Traprock Books. The collection is available at Powell’s Books On-line, Abe Books.com, and at featured reading events.
