Michel de Nostredame was a famous French astrologer, doctor and “seer”. He is best known for his book, ‘The Prophecies‘, a collection of 942 poetic quatrains which allegedly precept future events. First published in 1555, Nostradamus – the Latin version of his name – claimed to base his published predictions on forensic astrology.
It is the astrological “judgment”, or valuation, of “quality” and potential. events such as births, weddings, coronations, etc.
He and his work were heavily criticized by professional astrologers of the time.
Figures like Laurens Videl have argued that his predictions were incompetent to assume that “comparative horoscopy” – the comparison of future planetary configurations with those accompanying known past events – could in fact predict what would happen in the future.
Yet, thanks to interpretation, many believe that some of Nostradamus’ visions in fact came true: the death of Henry II of France in 1559; the Great Fire of London in 1666; the emergence of Adolf Hitler; the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; as well as the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
However, according to History, one of Nostradamus’ predictions suggests that France could be faced with a war with an “Eastern power” in 2022.
While it is difficult to pinpoint exact dates in Nostradamus’ predictions as they are based on astrological movements, the publication notes:
âThe invasion of France by a threat from the east is a recurring theme in all of Nostradamus’ predictions, but the following prediction is supposed to refer to spring 2022:
“The blue head owes the white head
“” Evil to such a degree
âAs France is good for both of us, it will always be the case. “

He declared: âNeither abbots, nor monks, nor novices to learn;
“Honey will cost much more than candle wax”
“So high the price of wheat,
“This man is moved
âHis next to eat in his despair. “
Political instability, Brexit and a global pandemic have all contributed to an inflation boom.
Nostradamus might even allude to “Eat the rich», The anti-capitalist movement whose slogan is taken from the Swiss philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, which has caused a stir in recent years.
He also predicted what appears to be something like a mass extinction of animals: âLike the sun, the head will burn the shining sea:
âThe live fish of the Black Sea will only boil.
“When Rhodes and Genoa
“Half hungry will be
“The local people to cut them up will work hard.”
With rising global temperatures and rising sea levels, could 2022 be the year the climate really catches up?
While fish are unlikely to boil in the sea, many species are quickly threatened with extinction due to increasingly uninhabitable environments and polluted homes.
The death of a myriad of coral reefs, the decimation of natural habitats and the decline in the number of fish around the world could be the start of Nostradamus’ predictions of “boiling seas” and impending starving populations.
