SCVNews.com | Side Walk poetry project, artist reception, call for artists as part of the SCV arts calendar

Santa Clarita’s arts calendar is brimming with events the whole community can enjoy with the return of the Sidewalk Poetry Project, new calls for artists, and the highly anticipated 30th Annual Crafts Fair.

Sidewalk Poetry 2022

Registration deadline: November 22, 2021

The Sidewalk Poetry Project 2022 is now open for submissions! This year’s theme is “What is the house?” “

Poems should reflect on the links with physical or emotional spaces. What does the house mean to you?

The Sidewalk Poetry Project prints the original poetry in sections of damaged sidewalks that are being rehabilitated, so final locations will be determined based on availability.

Selected poems can be placed near parks, bus stops, footpaths, crosswalks, schools or shopping malls. Let the Santa Clarita landscape and the built environment be your inspiration.

Details on registration rules and deadlines can be found [HERE].
