Voas Volunteer Day

Cub Scouts Pack #152 is excited to host and expand their 2nd annual Cocoa Coat Drive with Grinch’s Workshop on Saturday November 5th. As you prepare for colder weather, bring your new or lightly worn winter coats, hats, gloves, snow pants, boots. , etc. to donate to 2nd Cocoa Coat Drive. Scouts will deliver all donated winter clothing to each ADM school building to ensure all children are kept warm this year. The Cub Scouts Pack #152 expands this event with the Grinch’s Workshop. The workshop will feature local vendors who will be by their side with some of their products and ready to take your order of their bespoke delicacies to be delivered just in time for Christmas. Prairie Arts Festival

Art on the Prairie, an arts festival showcasing Iowa artists, musicians and writers, returns for its 12th year November 12-13. This year’s event will take place at eight historic buildings in downtown Perry from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 12 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 13. The juried arts festival will feature 55 visual artists from across Iowa, showcasing a variety of works including ceramics, painting, jewelry, photography, fibers and textiles, printmaking , glass, wood and mixed techniques. The musical talents of 30 Iowa musicians will fill the historic venues with live, unplugged acoustic music for the two-day festival.
