“SexyTime,” a collection of poetry that explores themes of consent and intimacy, is set to be read by award-winning poet Lynne Schmidt from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, April 11, virtually via Zoom.

Afterwards, attendees can participate in a conversation led by Bridget McAlonan, prevention education coordinator for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Service, according to a press release from the Auburn Public Library.

This conversation will explore what consent looks like and how to communicate boundaries with a partner.

This program is offered in celebration of National Poetry Month and in recognition of National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

For planning reasons, registration is mandatory. To register, go to the events page of auburnpubliclibrary.org or email Donna Wallace at [email protected].

Registrants will receive the Zoom link by email on the day of the program.

For more information about this program or other upcoming virtual programs offered by the library, visit its website or Facebook page, call the reference desk at 207-333-6640 ext. 4, or email Wallace.
